## What is Planning Poker?

Planning Poker is an agile estimation method where teams collaboratively assess the effort of user stories. Team members use cards with numbers to estimate complexity, ensuring everyone participates and shares their perspective.

## Card Values

Planning Poker uses the Fibonacci sequence to represent increasing complexity:

- **1, 2, 3**: Small, simple tasks
- **5, 8**: Medium tasks with moderate complexity
- **13, 21**: Large, complex tasks
- **?**: Uncertainty, more information needed
- **☕**: Break needed

## How to Use

### For Moderators
1. Go to the home page and click "Start Session"
2. Sign in with GitHub or GitLab
3. Share the 6-digit session code with your team
4. Set the estimation topic (e.g., "Implement login feature")
5. Wait for all players to vote
6. Click "Reveal Cards" to show results
7. Discuss the estimates with your team
8. Start a new round for the next topic

### For Players
1. Go to the home page
2. Enter the 6-digit session code and your name
3. Click "Join" to join the session
4. Read the topic set by the moderator
5. Choose a card that matches your estimate
6. Wait for the moderator to reveal the cards
7. See the results and discuss with your team
8. Continue with the next round

## Best Practices

1. **Discuss before estimating**: Make sure everyone understands the requirements
2. **Reveal simultaneously**: Avoid "anchoring" by showing cards at the same time
3. **Discuss differences**: When estimates vary greatly, let the highest and lowest explain their reasoning
4. **Take breaks**: Use the ☕ card when discussions run too long
5. **Split large tasks**: Break down very large tasks (21+) into smaller stories
6. **Ask for clarity**: Use the ? card when you need more information
